Safety tips for international students on the2026 summer vacation

亲爱的国际学生们：

Dear international students,

根据学校安排，2026年暑假从2026年7月6日（周一）至9月4日（周五）。9月5日（星期六）、6日（星期日）学生返校，办理开学注册手续，9月7日（星期一）正式上课。

According to the School Calendar of Yangtze University,2026 summer vacation will be from July 6(Monday) toSeptember 4(Friday), 2026.September 5(Saturday)andSeptember 6 (Sunday),studentsmust come back to the university and finishregistration procedures. The new semester will begin on September 7, 2026.

假期同学们要牢固树立“生命至上、安全第一”的意识，度过一个平安、愉快的暑假！特向大家发出以下要求和温馨提示：

All international students should firmly establish the "LifeFirst,SafetyFirst" consciousness,and spenda safe, happysummer vacation! The following are some safety tips and requirements for you:

1.按时打卡和签到Sign in on time

暑假期间所有学生要每天向班主任报平安。在荆学生每周在打卡机上打卡。All students should report safety to the class advisors everyday.Studentswho stay in Jingzhoushould sign inwith the attendance recording machineonce a week.

2.离荆必须履行请假审批手续Must go through the leave approval procedures before travelling out of Jingzhou

离校前，务必在班主任处登记好具体信息，包括离返校日期、出行地点、联系方式等，注意保持通信畅通。Before leavingJingzhou, be sure tofollow the asking for leave procedure and fill in the leave form to apply for permission,including the date of departure, travel place, contact information, etc.Alwayskeepyour mobile phone reachable.

3.禁止到江河湖泊游泳Never swim in any riversor lakes.

4.注意身心健康Pay attention to physical and mental health.

不到无证经营的摊点购买食物，不吃来路不明的食物，不可暴饮暴食，更不要吃变质、过期的食物，以免食物中毒。根据个人身体状况，合理确定运动负荷。患有心脏病、高血压等基础性疾病的同学，避免参加长时间剧烈运动项目。关注自己和身边同学的心理健康，及时寻求心理疏导，做好心理调适，互相关心、友爱互助，营造和谐的人际环境。Do notbuy food fromunlicensed stalls, do not eat food from unknown sources, do not overeat,and donot eat bad, expired food, so as to avoid food poisoning.Determine the individual exercise loadaccording to theindividual'sphysical condition. Students suffering from basic diseases such as heart disease and hypertension should avoid participating in long-term strenuous exercise programs. Pay attention to the mental health ofyourselvesandyourclassmates around,seek timelypsychological counseling, do a good job of psychological debugging, care for each other, love and help each other, and create a harmonious interpersonal environment.

5.注意消防和人身财产安全。锁好宿舍的门窗，以保证贵重物品的安全。注意用电安全，离开宿舍时立即关闭电器。禁止使用大功率电器、劣质插座、劣质充电器；严禁在卧室内做饭、吸烟。认真遵守交通法规，严禁非法驾驶机动车。提高预防技能，预防煤气中毒、踩踏等各类安全事故。密切关注天气变化，不私自前往危险区域活动，谨防各类自然灾害发生。Pay attention to fire protection and the safety of personal property.Lock the doors and windows of dormitories in order to keep valuables safe. Pay attention to the safety of using electricity and turn off the electric appliance immediately when leaving the dormitory. The high-power appliances, inferior sockets and inferior qualitychargersare forbidden to be used;nevercook or smoke in bedrooms. Conscientiously abide by traffic regulations, driving motor vehicles illegally is strictly prohibited.Improve prevention skills and prevent various types of safetyaccidents such as gas poisoningand trampling.Pay close attention to weather changes, do not go to dangerous areas for activities, beware of all kinds of natural disasters.

6.不要沉迷于网络和电子游戏。保护好个人信息，并警惕各种电信诈骗和网络诈骗。理性表达个人观点，绝不要制造、相信或散布谣言。增强财务风险防范意识，绝不参与不良网络贷款。Do not indulge in network and video games.Protect personal information and be alert to all kinds of telecom fraud and online fraud. Express personal opinions rationally, never make, believe or spread rumors. Enhance the awareness of financial risk prevention, never participate in bad network lending.

7.不得从事非法打工。Never involved in illegal employment.

请勿到培训机构、KTV、酒吧等场所兼职，非法打工行为一经发现将按照中国法律严惩。Students are forbidden go to training institutions, KTV, bars and other places for illegal part-timejobs. Illegal employment practices will be severely punished according to Chinese law upon discovery.

8.未经学院允许，严禁私自举行任何形式的聚会。It is strictly forbidden to hold any kind of party without the permission of theschool.

9.严禁在校内外聚众饮酒。It is strictly forbidden to gather people insideoroutsideof campusto drink alcohol.

10.严禁吸毒、贩毒Drug abuse and drug trafficking are strictly prohibited.
